Apple tart

Apple Tart: A delectable French pastry featuring thinly sliced apples atop a buttery, flaky crust, baked to golden perfection.

Apple tart (6 portions)
9 Pink lady apples
50g Melted butter
40g Demerara sugar
1 Sheet puff pastry

  1. Start by peeling and coring your apples, then slice them all.

  2. Place the apples in even lines on top of the puff pastry, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with demerara sugar.

  3. Cook in the oven at 175C for 35 minutes, after 35 minutes place some baking paper and a tray on top of the apple tart and push down gently. Put back in the oven for another 25 minutes at 175C to finish cooking.

Chantilly cream (6 portions):

250g Whipping cream
25g Icing sugar
¼ Vanilla pod (scraped)

  1. Whisk all ingredients together until soft peaks.
